1. I was born on
6th NOVEMBER 1934, as eldest son to THIRU M.R.Govindaswamy Naidu and Thirumathy Alamelu ammal at Madras. I was born with silver spoon as our family was in affluence with sound financial position. I was carrying
on happily along with my brothers and cousins. Initially, I had my education in an ordinary school nearby our house. Then
I joined the elementary school run by' The Hindu Theological High school', Mint street, Madras-1 in the third class. I was
doing well in my studies and came up to S.S.L.C in the same school. I passed the S.S.L.C. examination creditably in the year
1951. I had the ambition to become an engineer. So I joined I Group in PUC in SIR THEAGARAYA COLLEGE Washermanpet, Madras
in the year 1951. After I joined the college, I did not concentrate much in studies due to friends company. Further due to
lack of much interest in Mathematics subject, I did not fare well in the examination. However I passed the PUC University
examination and joined B.Sc course in Pachaiyappas College with Physics as Main subject. I was able to clear the final examination
in year 1957.

I should mention that I was the first graduate
in our entire family. In the meanwhile, I was trying for a job and my cousin brother Thiru M.K.Sudarsanam was instrumental to join me as L.D.C. in the Income tax department
on 20th October 1956. The main reason for my entering into employment was that our family's financial position had
dwindled due to various reasons such as incurring heavy losses and debts in the business. So the silver spoon disappeared.
Further the elders who were doing joint business have all gone out separately to do their own business. The house, where we
were living at No. 31, Nannian st., Madras-3 was sold in year 1959 and we moved to a rented house in shenoy nagar, Madras-40.
2. While serving in the Income tax department I developed much interest in knowing the various aspects of the
department. The turning point in my life had started then. At every stage the department would be conducting examination and
that, only who passes alone are eligible for promotions in executive line. At first stage, I passed ministerial examination
that consists of four papers. I passed this examination with high marks in practical examination that include calculation
of tax of various types assessee's income. Tax calculation aspects were very much complicated on those days for various types
of assessees. I was awaiting promotion to U.D.C level. In the meanwhile my parents were trying to celebrate my marriage. On
finding an alliance in T.Nagar by my father, my brother-in-law, Thiru C.R.Sriramulu negotiated with the bride's party.
The marriage was finally celebrated on Friday the 16th June 1961 with Thirumathy Rajalakshmy second daughter of Thiru B.Radhakrishna Naidu and Thirumathi Hamsaveni, at their own house at No.28, Nathamuni Street,
T.Nagar, Chennai-17, when I was 27 years of age. In the middle photo below, my father is blessing us on our wedding day. First
photo shows my parents in-law and the third one is our wedding photo.

3. On
20th October 1963, a beautiful girl baby was born to us in a Government hospital and she was named by my father as
Santhana lakshmy (alias) Santhi. Yes, I was promoted as
U.D.C in December 1963. After three years I appeared for Incometax Inspectors examination in 1968. This examination is little
tough and I completed 3 papers in first attempt and completed the forth paper in second attempt. In fact I was studying the
Income tax Act and allied laws with much interest. In the meanwhile much developments have happened in our life between 1967
and 1975.

On 11th june 1967
another beautiful girl baby was born to us in Government hospital. The baby was healthy and she was named as Jayanthi. We were staying in my faher-in-law's house in T.Nagar, Chennai-17.
The
days were passisng. One day my brother-in-law Thiru C.R. Sriramulu came there along with one Thiru Mohan who
was working in Port Trust and who had some influence in Tamil Nadu Housing Board. They brought some application form for allotment
of vacant plots developed by Tamil Nadu Housing Board, Madras. He insisted me to apply for the same. Of course I had applied
to The Housing Board and then forgotten about it. One fine day my office collegue Thiru G.S.Gnanam informed me that
I was allotted a plot in K.K.Nagar. It so happened that certain number of plots were allotted to Central Government employees
and that I happened to be a fortunate one along with some of my friends including Mr.G.S.Gnanam. All these happened in the
year 1968. The area was named after Dr Kalaignar Karunanidhi who was the then Chief Minister. The area was nicely
brought out with all facilities such as provision of roads, water line, sewerage systems etc.

After availing building loan from our department, I constructed
a house in the plot and moved there on 2nd May 1972. In the mean while
we were blessed with another beauthiful girl baby and she was born in Public health center, West Mambalam, chennai-33, on
3rd November 1971. She was named as vasanthi. Baby vasanthi,
as we used to call her as Vachu as a pet name, moved to the own house in 1972.

The photograph of our building as in 1972 is shown on the right side. Here I
wish to mention that I was not fortunate to keep my father in our own house for the reason that Thiru M.R.Govindaswamy
Naidu attained Acharyan Thiruvadi on 29th May 1968 when we were staying in the rented house at No. 17, VIII cross
street, Shenoy nagar, chennai-600040. To complete the building, I had to undergo much financial and physical strain with mental
stress. The building was designed and constructed by myself as I had developed experience in this line as a hobby. Of course
in later period, I lent free help to some of my friends and office colleagues to construct their buildings that increased
my knowledge and experience in construction.
4. As years were passing, in 1975 I was promoted as Head clerk. I worked
in various circles. I was transferred as Head-clerk to Coimbatore in the middle of 1977 and served there for one year. The
special work entrusted to me viz. functioning of Local Treasury Unit was ably executed by me with appreciation by my
superiors. I had already appeared for Income tax Officer's examination, when I was working as Head-clerk in the year 1977.
I passed this examination in first attempt that was a credit to me. This examination is supposed to be a difficult one as
one of the four papers includes entire Income tax Act and allied Laws. However with sustained effort and hard work I was able
to clear it with God's Grace. I was promoted as Income tax Inspector in the year 1978 and got transfer to Madras that gave
mental solace to all of us as my family was staying separately at Madras when I was in Coimbatore. When I was carrying on
my work as Inspector in a business circle creditably, I was given additional duty to function as department counsel in a disciplinary
enquiry against an UDC who was said to have committed bigamy. In this regard I made extensive enquiries and met various witnesses
in Madras and other outstations. Ultimately I appeared before Enquiry officer who was conducting enquiry in this case and
submitted report substantiating the case against the official. This assignment of work entrusted to me was an achievement
in my official life. After some months I was posted to Intelligence wing of The Investigation department on do duty basis.
There I was working directly under a Dy.Director of Investigation (Intelligence). There I did many discreet enquiries with
certain amount of risk also. I earned much appreciation from my superior. Here I was working till October 1983. Subsequently
I was selected for Settlement Commission for posting as Enquiry Officer. I joined as Enquiry Officer in Settlement Commission
in November 1983. For three years I was working in this office and during the course I visited various places such as Ernakulam
in Kerala , Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh and Delhi in Uttar Pradesh. This work was very good experience for me. Ultimately
in December 1986 I was promoted as Income tax Officer(Group B). I served as Income tax Officer till 1992 and retired
on 30th November 1992 when I completed 58 years of age and after serving in the department for 36 years. In the farewell
party given to me on that day, my immediate boss paid encomium to me about my service in the department and also said "If
I have power I will give extension of service to M.G.Alagiasingar for his ability of work". Such was the tribute given to
me. My Commissioner who was presiding also praised me. I wish to mention that all through my official life I did my work without
shirking and to the highest expectation of my superiors and I should mention that my official career was an unblemished one.
5. I made a humble beginning of my life. I was following the footsteps of my father in religious aspects as
well as other helping nature. After entering the service I became more responsible. After the marriage, I should say that
my wife brought fortune to my family. Good children were born. My official prospects progressed steadily. She was taking care
of children properly and also running the family in economic path. Children were all educated in ordinary schools only. Rajam,
as I used to call my wife, was never ambitious to lead a luxurious life. She will think twice before resorting to incur any
expenditure. Our relationship was very much cordial except for small hitches. Of course there were little bit of quarrels
from her side mainly with regard to spending of money. These are bound to happen in the family. Children were all very good
in their studies. After completing B.Com. in First class, Sow. Santhi joined Chartered Accountant course as she desired,
though the course was tough. She became professional graduate as CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT in 1990 and later taken up a
job in a Private company. The second daughter Sow Jayanthi after scoring very high marks in plus 2 class, She was able
to get admission for B.E. in Regional Engineering college, Trichy purely on merit. After completing the course she passed
in distinction and obtained B.E.(Hons) degree in the year 1989. After working in a Private company for about one year,
she joined in Tamilnadu Electricity Board as Assistant Engineer from the year 1991. Sow Vasanthi after graduating as
B.Com. she joined various courses in computer Technology and obtained diplomas. She is taking up further courses to improve
further in Computer Technology.
6. While I was in service, marriage was celebrated to Sow. SANTHI with Thiru R.SUBASHCHANDAR B.com,
A.C.A, a chartered accountant, son of late Thiru S. Rangarajan, Retired Regional Manager, SBI and Thirumathi

8. All our three daughters and
sons-in-law are all well settled in their life and leading peaceful life with their child. After retirement since 1992, I
am keeping my self-active as I am serving our area as President, Bobbiliraja road and Paneerselvam salai Civic Exnora, and
which was inaugurated by Shri B.NIRMAL founder chairman of civic exnora in January 1993. Besides I am doing Income tax Consultation
to very limited number of persons. My wife and myself have been extending financial and physical help to our relations and
others to possible extent. We have been taking care of our health also. By and large we are in the habit of doing any kind
of service to anyone who needs. On 16th of August 2000 I have purchased this computer as I have learnt Basic concepts
of computer application and also HTML course and obtained a certificate. As a result I am deeply involved in working on this
computer to create a website giving all the details of our entire family with photographs in their respective pages and with
more emphasize about our father Thiru M.R.Govindaswamy Naidu who had done immense philanthropic and religious services
in his entire life. Our photo shown below is the latest taken in 2001.
MAY GOD BLESS ALL.
